Melody is an Ilfochrome deluxe fine art print. Signed and numbered limited edition of 26 archival prints: artist proof 1/1 and prints 1/25 through 25/25. Plate destroyed. Printed: Chrome, Inc., Georgetown, Fall 1996. Ilfochrome print image size is 21 X 29 inches. A wide white margin and a Certificate of Authenticity about the Limited Edition is printed on the lower portion of the white margin. Only 13 prints remain available for sale: 3 are framed ( customer pays cost of frame, shipping, handling and insurance of framed print) and 10 are either loose folio or in mat with shrinkwrap. U.S. Currency. Shipped flat. Add Shipping and handling charges; Virginia residents pay 4.5% sales tax.
As Ilfochrome deluxe prints are custom made, each print may have a subtle distinction, increasing the value and uniqueness of each signed and numbered print.
The Ilfochrome process is derived from the reknown Cibechrome process, becoming the new offspring when purchased by Mr. Ilford, an English printmaker. Ilfochrome is recognized as having superb resistance to fading. Its vibrant dyes are guaranteed to last for 100 years and longer with archival framing.
Archival paper is used to print Ilfochrome. Its dyes are built into the polyester base in 3 layers--red, yellow and blue. The positive process--printed directly from slides or transparencies, without the need for an internegative--provides for superior color saturation, sharpness, and color accuracy. Melody has a gloss finish, greatly enhancing its appearance.
